In 2022, I founded a small electronics recycling business. One day, a friend asked me to recycle a KitchenAid stand mixer that was leaking oil. I recalled that the grease in these mixers could be replaced, so I searched on YouTube and found Mr. Mixer’s instructional videos. After ordering food-grade grease and a new gasket, I successfully replaced the grease in the mixer.
Realizing the potential, I decided to offer this service part-time and began advertising on local Facebook groups. Since then, I’ve developed a business relationship with Mr. Mixer, who even made me a moderator on one of his social media platforms. I also regularly connect with several mentors across the country to share experiences and insights.
In addition to repairing mixers, I also recycle flat screen TVs. I come to you and pick up your broken flat screen TVs for a fee and break them down for recycling.
